Metra has outfitted its first railcar with new fixed seating to provide our riders with a more comfortable ride. The higher-backed seats offer a headrest and a large, foldable cupholder, and each seat has its own center armrest that can be stowed up when not in use. The seats have an improved foam base and quality vinyl covering. These new customer amenities, which were guided by a January 2020 passenger survey, are a more cost-effective seating option.
